I needed a portable monitor and instead of just getting a monitor, I decided to get TV with inputs instead (aka a TV that can be used as a monitor). The 10.2" screen is much better then I expected. Originally I was looking for a 7" screen, but decided on a larger screen (but not too big to make it cumbersome as a portable TV/monitor). The size is large enough to provide a clear picture on video camera footage for adjustment or remote viewing. The accessories and TV itself was small enough to fit into a small tool soft case I already had (12"x12"x3" in size).

The different power source options come in handy. Most quick setups, the battery can handle short viewing of footage and or watching TV programs. But having a 12V car and wall adapter helps. Some TV's I looked at did not clearly state if it could be powered from a 12V car outlet or if it had to run off the internal battery only.

The USB and memory card slots are nice options and functioned fine. BUT users have to note what KIND of files they are trying to be read as it is specified in the manual. I found it a plus to be able to view camera pics on a memory card with out having to use a camera OR a computer. When put on repeat, you can actually have a digital picture frame or video clip player.

The reception with the enclosed antenna is reasonable. I say reasonable since it depends on a LOT of factors. Your station signal strength, topography, weather, buildings and location. Since old analog TV signals are gone, the analog function is a mute point. The antenna picked up all the channels that are being received by my home TV and one of my home antenna's is a pair of "rabbit ears". I used it to watch TV in the parking lot and the magnetic base of the supplied antenna is handy & works. Just open the window, stick it on the roof and plug the thing in and watch tv. I tried to see if it would work as a mobile TV, but did not work (as the manual stated)- but the antenna was on the dash vs stuck on the roof. I suspect that if a better antenna was used, it could work while the vehicle was moving (for use by the passengers of coarse). Worked great when I was BBQ-ing and wanted to watch TV at the same time.

The remote works for what is needed with this TV. It takes a while to get use to it. I don't mind having to scroll between channels since in my area, there is VERY few stations. And the 'sub channels' are usually under 4 each, so the total channels available in my area is under 30. I do not mind pushing buttons to get to the channel I want quickly.

The built in speakers are adequate for the unit. If the location is quite enough, it will work provide adequate sound. It would not take much to use the A/V adapter to hook up an amplified speaker unit or to use one of those 'old school' transmitters to play the sound through a radio (or vehicle radio). We have all seen the small battery powered units that allowed the old CD players to transmit the song to a radio station instead of using tape deck adapters.

Overall, I am happy with this product. So far it has lived up to everything I expected and has worked out in everything I wanted to do with this unit. The best part was I was able to acquire one at a discounted price rather than the average advertised online price I have seen. (Eventually, I hope to pick up a self enclosed portable DVD player with A/V outputs so another person could use this TV to watch, not just looking over the shoulder.)

I've had this TV for 9 months now and it is a gem! I got it for 50.00 at [...] and WOW what a value. the 120hz + true motion is superb but it does take some getting used to. And if you don't like it... you can turn it off or put it on low! Vizio and other TV's do not have this feature. The sound is great, fills the room up very nicely but don't expect perfection, they are TV speakers. The picture is superb, i have a DLP as well and this picture is much clearer. The colors jump off the screen and the blacks are perfect! The one draw back is the halo effect, it only happens when the screen is black and there is white letters but this only happens during credits and thats about it so... who cares!?! Get this TV if you can find one, it is LG's first generation LED and it is a good one. It's got tons of features to mess around, easy to navigate menu, and great looking! Black and blue... YES! very thin, and it also has a very good swivel stand that sold me on it. The on/off buttons on the TV are touch sensitive and very good looking. If you can find this TV for under 1800, your golden. LG did it right and i won't be second guessing my purchase any time soon. 5 stars!

Purchased this little Zenith for my dad since he was still looking for a TV with the Zenith name. LG makes the line now, but still the same great Zenith picture quality. Dad loves it, thinking about getting one for myself. Great connectivity, it has every input you'd ever want, computer, HDTV, composite, RGB, and over the air analog and digital tuner.

The auto shut-off after the input signal stops is a nice touch in case you get busy while a DVD is playing.

I have owned this TV for 11 months now and I like it very much. The picture is very good for SD. A good antenna will help you receive digital channels that look very nice. I paid 0 for it at best buy. If you have the money to get an HD LCD than do the research and get one. If you want a cheaper, bulkier (112 lbs.), but good TV then this one is pretty good. My place is pretty small and with my Toshiba upconverting DVD player works nicely and like the picture. My old TV was from the 80's so this was a great improvement. I'll probably upgrade to an LCD in a couple years depending on how low the prices get.

We had a 52" Samsung that we purchased for my mother-in-law. We've watched TV on it for 2 years and are extremely happy with it. For this reason, we decided to stick with Samsung. This 40" TV fits our space perfectly and after comparing a 60hz LCD HDTV side-by-side (playing the exact same nature DVD) with a 120hz, I did not notice any difference. Since the 60hz was about 0 less, I decided on this TV. We are extremely happy with it.

We only watch TV -- we don't do gaming, watch DVDs, nor do we have a Blu-Ray. So, we're pretty basic TV watchers. The picture is excellent from all viewing angles -- no distortion. My girlfriend came over 2 nights ago and wants to order a Samsung for her Mom. I don't think you can go wrong if you are basic TV watchers like us! By the way, I'm not sure if I can say this here but I priced this TV at Walmart for 4.00 online, however, through Amazon, we didn't have to pay any shipping costs nor taxes! Amazon, by far, had the least expensive price over Best Buy, Walmart and any other online merchant. The delivery guys took the TV out of the box, set it up and made sure it did turn on. They were great. Getting it to sync up with Dish TV and the Dish Remote was another matter but 2 phone calls to Dish was all it took. We had it up and running in an hour or so. Excellent buying experience!
